Summary
The IRC sub-group
was formed in June 1999 under the auspices of the Internet Crime Forum (www.internetcrimeforum.org.uk)
and includes representatives from industry, law enforcement, child welfare,
government, civil liberties and regulatory bodies, with the Internet Watch
Foundation in the chair.
The role of the group was to identify and quantify the problems of chat services on the Internet and to consider and evaluate potential means of addressing them.
